Compact 24" model

Picked up a used compact 24 inch model not long ago, its nothing fancy by the way, but it's holding its own so far this season, at some point it had a bit of surface rust and the auger had a minor rattle, but once I tightened everything up and gave it a fresh oil change, I've been good to go, I'm honestly impressed for what I paid. Just thought to share

It's always satisfying when a little TLC brings something back to life, especially for a tool like a snowblower.

So, when you say 'compact 24" model,' any chance you remember the brand and model year? Always curious about those hidden gems that just keep going! And what kind of surface rust did it have?

I totally agree, I remember when I found a 26-inch, 208cc Electric Start Two-Stage Snow Blower that had been left outside for years. It had some rust and a noisy auger, but after I cleaned it up and swapped out a few worn parts, it worked perfectly all winter long. It's amazing how these simple machines can surprise you! What brand do you have, and how old is it?

Absolutely love seeing gear get a second life! It's incredible what a little TLC can bring out in these machines. They really can surprise you

Sometimes all it takes is a wrench, some oil, and a couple of hours to make them run like new. Feels pretty good keeping one out of the scrap heap too.
